Trinidad

Discover Trinidad’s capital, Port of Spain, which is renowned for its vibrant marketplaces, storied architecture, and energetic environment. See famous sites like the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Queen’s Park Savannah, and the Red House. Unwind on the beautiful sands of Maracas Bay, one of the busiest beaches in Trinidad. Take a dip in the azure waves, indulge in seafood from seaside stands, and take in the expansive vistas of the shoreline. Explore the 200-acre wildlife sanctuary and bird watcher’s paradise that is the Asa Wright Nature Centre, or visit Pitch Lake near La Brea, home to the largest natural deposit of asphalt in the world. Enjoy sweeping views of the Arima Valley, go on guided hikes into verdant jungles, and see unique birds like the tufted coquette and blue-headed parrot.

Tobago

Tobago’s most well-known beach, Pigeon Point Beach, offers picture-perfect shorelines for relaxation. Enjoy views of the recognizable thatched-roof jetty while sunbathing on powder-soft white sands and swimming in crystal-clear turquoise waters. Enter Nylon Pool, a natural sandbar in Buccoo Reef Marine Park, by wading into its shallow waters. Take a cool plunge in the warm, clear waters, which are supposed to have restorative qualities. To get to Tobago’s highest waterfall, Argyle Waterfall, you must go through lush woods. Enjoy the refreshing pools beneath the gushing waterfall, which are surrounded by avian and tropical flora. Take in the excitement of seeing turtles on Tobago’s beaches from March to September, when they are breeding. Take a guided trip to see green, hawksbill and leatherback turtles arrive on the beach at dusk to lay their eggs.
